Now I would like to present pictures of a very special concert in Elmshorn.
Elmshorn – What??
For many people it is a small town in the Northwest of Hamburg. For some people it is one of the major capitols of folk music. Rolf Reinstrom, called Lotte, an old Tønder veteran, and many friends and supporters in town provide around eight excellent folk and blues concerts per anno in different venues. And these concerts are sold out regularly, the Elmshorn audience obviously appreciates Lotte´s selection of fine artists.
Irish Mythen had been booked by Lotte about one and a half years ago and nobody could know then, that Irish would rock folk festivals around the world very soon. Therefore, this for all parties was a very lucky occasion to meet in that beautiful church. Irish played, though labouring with a bad cold, a great concert and the very concentrated and friendly audience obviously enjoyed it. More – it seemed as if a bond of sympathy connected Irish and the audience.
Standing ovations in the end were the reward for Irish after having sung “The Auld Triangle“ without guitar and microphone.
